M2 in the big city
The formula is correct with this bawdy German duo. A well balanced chassis, drive to the rear wheels, and most importantly a potent V8 motor up front. Only thing missing was a sinuous stretch of tarmac, which we just so happened to find.
People have been asking this question for literally hundreds of years, yet the answer still eludes many. Both German, both open-top. Both rear-wheel-drive, but one has the motor in front and the other mid-mounted.
Need a car tomorrow, gonna borrow something from CCC. E93 M3 and C63 AMG are both available. Which seat should I take?
Just flying around, minding my business, and this dude comes out of no where and starts sliding all over the place. #notbad
Did you ever wonder what percentage of the throttle you are using on the way to get a sandwich? Were you ever curious how many Gs you pulled on the way home from clarinet lessons? Do you have a BMW? You might just be in luck.
I posted this video a few months ago, and for the first time in the history of the internet, I received a truly productive YouTube comment:
Oh the sweet, sweet aural delight of a race tuned V8. Here is a pair of gloriously flatulent M3s lapping a parking lot, giving rides to some of the owners who so bravely allowed Chris Forsberg to drift dance an M4 betwixt their babies.
My memory was jolted as I perused BMW Blog's photos of the secret underground M garage. OH YEA! There was that one time BMW shoehorned a V12 from their Le Mans winning LMR Prototype into an X5. Fucking nuts.
I use my GoPro a lot, most of the time suction cup’d on the outside of a car at some precarious angle. Before the GoPro app and remote, we had a lot of GoPro face, but now there is GoPro BMW as well!
Trust me, you'll want to tune in on 8/20 when it drops
BMW brought their enormous Motorsport hauler down to Bimmerfest East a few weekends ago. Every generation of M3 racer was there, and it was amazing. I was lucky enough to snag a quick ride in this wide-body beast of an E36.
A smattering of clips from last weekend down at Ripken Stadium. The BMWs were out en masse, and I saw a bunch of really interesting customized machines.
It's not the prettiest E39 I've ever seen. Nor is it the most practical. But it is for surely the most badass purpose-built drift-taxi I've ever laid eyes upon.
On location with these beaufitful beasts today. Come to Bimmerfest on Saturday and check 'em out in person!!
Watch me get tossed to and fro in the back of an M5, as it completes an almost fully sideways lap. Really impressive for such a big sedan to be so composed and so balanced even beyond the limit.
I didn't realize how much I missed this buzzy little backroad beast. Ride along as I scare my sister on one of my favorite stretches of pavement. The CCC folks even left the sticky r-comps mounted, for grip!
first business trip! Oh yea!! ;)
Spent the day yesterday out at BMW NA (and the surrounding roads) shooting an M4, M6, and i8.
